Blue Spirulina Almond Milk
Ingredients
- 8 oz raw cashew nut pieces or slivered almonds
- 1 medjool date sliced and pitted
- 8 cups filtered water or sping water
- 1 inch piece vanilla bean split
- 1 tsp organic blue spirulina powder
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Once water boils turn off heat.
- Add raw cashew pieces to saucepan along with sliced and pitted medjool date, split 1" piece of vanilla bean, and pinch of salt.
- Cover pan and let stand 4 hours or let cool and refrigerate overnight.
- Transfer liquid to blender and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Add blue spirulina powder and blend on low just long enough to mix.
- Optional – add pinch of Himalayan salt or sea salt and mix.
- Divide Magic Blue Milk among four 16-ounce glass bottles or jars. Seal tightly and refrigerate. Use or freeze Magic Blue Milk within 4 days.
